At Taco John’s, we understand the importance of taking the time to reflect on the moments that brought us to where we are today, and after the last year, we have a lot to think about.
The COVID-19 pandemic struck the states hard last March, and it’s been an uphill battle for businesses ever since. Taco John’s has nearly 400 locations across 22 states, and we knew we had to dig deep to support them the best we could. The theme that was key to getting by for many of us, including restaurants, became adaptation. We had to adapt our typical practices to continue serving our loyal customers safely and effectively, and we’re pretty proud of the ways we accomplished that goal.
We introduced our Valuest Menu in select locations, meant to bring our great flavors and fan favorites, like our delicious guac and hand-cut sirloin steak, to our customers at unbeatably low prices. We updated and enhanced our already top-notch sanitation policies. In addition to our usual drive thru offerings, we expanded our mobile ordering, take out, and delivery options across the country. And, our drive thru sales have remained so strong, that we saw same-store sales growth climb despite having to close our dining rooms.
On top of it all, we managed to score a spot on the 2021 Franchise 500 list despite a year filled with constant challenges and adaptations. 2020 was a year filled with challenges and adaptations and now, nearly a year after the first COVID-19 case struck the states, we’re prepared to keep moving forward, adapting and supporting our franchisees however we can as we continue to work toward normalcy. We’d love if you moved forward right along with us.
